Na-cation parallel first-stage filters are used at power station water treatment plants, industrial and refuse-fired plants, and are designed to treat water with the aim of removing scale-forming salt cations (Ca2+ and Mg2+) during natrium- hydrogen- or ammonium-natrium- cation exchange, as well as sulfate, chloride and nitrate anions during natural waters desalination.
