    The chain conveyor is a continuous type conveyor in which the moving force is provided by one or two chains. The equipment is widely used in machine-building sector, agriculture, food enterprises and provides the solution of automation for many production processes.

    Loaded materials may be transported not only on a straight track but also on a curved track which simplifies the handling of materials on the conveyor.
    The following factors should be considered to ensure the viable conveyor selection with maximum technical and economic benefit: properties of transported materials; location of loading and unloading points and distance between them; required capacity; required degree of automation for the process where conveying system is planned to be used; material storage method in the loading point (in hoppers, in stacks, on racks etc.) and characteristics of the device which receives materials; conveying device installation conditions (outdoor installation, heated or unheated building); area allocated for conveyor; route configuration; special factors, safety requirements etc.
